Will I have to pay fees?

Learning Programmes at Level 3 and Below

School Leavers under the age of 19 do not have to pay fees on any full time courses, though may have to pay for their second year if turning 19 during their studies.

If you’re aged 19 or over you might qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. It’s easy to apply for and you won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £27,295. Find more information on Advanced Learner Loans on our website.

If you are studying a part-time course and you receive one of the following benefits, or you depend financially on someone who does, you may be entitled to have your tuition fees waived:

  • Job Seeker's Allowance
  • Income Support

You will, however, have to pay any awarding body/assessment fees (unless you are on a first full level 2 course).


Higher Education Courses at Level 4 and Above

The fee payable for your course is displayed in the table above and can be paid for in a number of ways:

  • HE Loan
  • Instalment Payment Plan
  • Payment in full

* If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit or receive other allowances, you may be eligible to claim concessionary rates. If you are entitled to a fee concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement.

Five GCSEs at grade 9-5 including English and Maths, or a full Level 2 qualification with a Merit profile and grades 9-5 in GCSE English and Maths.



Course Information

Digital T Levels are designed and developed in collaboration with employers and industry experts, so are highly relevant in today’s marketplace. This project-based programme will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve threshold competence across your chosen specialism.

Your industry placement will be at least 45-days with a digital employer to put all the skills you are learning into practice in a real-world work environment. You will gain valuable experience, additional UCAS points and develop higher Maths skills.

This blend of classroom and digital based Core Competencies and Occupational Specialisms combined with industry based learning to give you the technical skills and skilled workplace experience to kick-start your career in the digital arena.

All Digital T Levels include an Employer Set Project covering:

·         Planning projects

·         Identifying and fixing defects in code

·         Designing and developing solutions

·         Reflective evaluation.

The Digital T Levels also support working towards the RIT Tech professional IT standard. This course is intended for students who want to progress to a career in the digital sector, with a focus on digital support services.

Specialising in network, cabling principles of cyber security - why cyber security matters, digital security, and digital infrastructure (managing both physical and virtual infrastructure).

Students will begin their two-year T Level programme with the core content, and specialise according to their chosen Occupational Specialism stream; of either digital infrastructure, network cabling or digital support.

 



Progression

This T Level provides a route directly into employment as successful students will have a recognised technical qualification. The qualification grade attained will attract a UCAS tariff and could lead to university or higher training.
