Will I have to pay fees?
Learning Programmes at Level 3 and Below
School Leavers under the age of 19 do not have to pay fees on any full time courses, though may have to pay for their second year if turning 19 during their studies.
If you’re aged 19 or over you might qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. It’s easy to apply for and you won’t have to pay anything back until you’re earning over £27,295. Find more information on Advanced Learner Loans on our website.
If you are studying a part-time course and you receive one of the following benefits, or you depend financially on someone who does, you may be entitled to have your tuition fees waived:
- Job Seeker's Allowance
- Income Support
You will, however, have to pay any awarding body/assessment fees (unless you are on a first full level 2 course).
Higher Education Courses at Level 4 and Above
The fee payable for your course is displayed in the table above and can be paid for in a number of ways:
- HE Loan
- Instalment Payment Plan
- Payment in full
* If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit or receive other allowances, you may be eligible to claim concessionary rates. If you are entitled to a fee concession you will be asked to provide proof of your entitlement.

Five GCSEs at grade 9-5 including
English and Maths, or a full Level 2 qualification with a Merit profile and
grades 9-5 in GCSE English and Maths.

Course Information
This course provides a mixture of both core and specialist knowledge
over a two-year period.
In year one you will learn the core
knowledge for legal finance and accounting which includes but is not restricted
to:

business environment

Careers within the legal, finance and
accounting sector
·
Professionalism and ethics
·
Security and risk
·
Fundamentals of law
·
Fundamentals of financial
accounting
·
Project/change management and
administration.
Your second year will centre around a
specialism in Accounting and is aimed at those who wish to progress into the
role of an Assistant Accountant. The qualification has been developed in
partnership with industry experts the The Association of Chartered Certified
Accountants (ACCA) to ensure the qualification content is current and enables
you to gain industry recognised qualifications that will support you in
progressing to chartered status.
In year two you will study content that
has been designed to cover a range of occupational specialisms such a:

Producing and analysing a trial balance

Preparing primary financial statements
·
Analysing business performance If you
are considering progression to university, this course attracts 72 - 168 UCAS
points.

Providing support to tax and audit
functions
·
Preparing computations for payroll.
Students will be expected to carry out extensive work experience, which could
equate to a minimum of 316 hours.

This T Level also attributes UCAS points
in line with A Levels and could lead to university or higher training such as a
Higher Apprenticeship, Foundation Degree or a Degree in a related subject. This
T Level provides a route directly into employment. Students who specialise could
progress into the role of Assistant Accountant.
